Pilgrimage to St Therese of Lisieux

Pilgrimage to St. Therese of Lisieux and Italy: A Journey to Our Patron Saint

We are thrilled to announce the "Graces of France & Italy Pilgrimage 2024" organized by the Parish of St. Therese, Denistone. This special pilgrimage is dedicated to visiting our patron saint, St. Therese of Lisieux, and exploring other significant holy sites in France and Italy.

Itinerary Highlights

France:

  • Lisieux: Our journey begins with a visit to Lisieux, the home of our beloved patron saint, St. Therese. Experience the profound spirituality of the "Little Flower" as we visit her childhood home, the Carmel where she lived, and the Basilica dedicated to her. Her life and faith continue to inspire us, and this visit will deepen our connection to her legacy.

  • Lourdes: From Lisieux, we travel to Lourdes, a place of miraculous healings and deep devotion. Here, we'll visit the Grotto of Massabielle, where the Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette, and participate in the sacred rituals that have brought grace to countless pilgrims.

Italy:

  • Rome: Continue your spiritual journey in Rome, the heart of the Catholic Church. Visit the Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica, and other iconic religious sites, immersing yourself in the rich history and faith of our tradition.

  • Assisi: End our pilgrimage in Assisi, the serene town of St. Francis and St. Clare. Walk the paths of these great saints, and let their stories of humility, service, and devotion inspire your faith journey.

This pilgrimage offers a unique opportunity to connect deeply with our patron saint, St. Therese, and to explore the rich spiritual heritage of France and Italy. From Lisieux's quiet grace to Rome's vibrant history and Assisi's peaceful charm, this journey promises to be both enriching and transformative.

Join us for this unforgettable pilgrimage and deepen your faith as we honor St. Therese and explore the sacred sites of our tradition.
